The Waving Wall | holdUP & BLOONATION

The Waving Wall of Chalkwell made by holdUP & BLOONATION is an art installation in Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom in 2011. It’s made of 1200 water bottles, demonstrating the vast journey water takes as well as the amount of water used in the production of certain products. BLOONATION is using art to raise awareness of about the concept of embedded water (invisible water): “The average Brit only sees 3% of the water that they consume.”  If every bottle in this project would be filled with water, you have 22,800 liters, which is equal to produce 2 pair of jeans or 5 beef steaks in the UK! The problem is that water is imported through products !!!
